Mrs McINTOSH (Lindsay) (15:01): My question is to the Prime Minister. Last year the Prime Minister said changes to negative gearing would 'push up rents'. Budget papers confirm rents will rise as a result of the government's new housing tax. Why is Labor pushing up rents for all Australians when it promised not to?
