QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator WATERS (Queensland—Leader of the Australian Greens) (14:24): As the Australian Services Union has noted, the $17 billion raised by our gas export tax is 'vastly more than the roughly $2 billion we currently receive under the PRRT. These public funds could resource the vital community services Australians rely on.' Why did the Prime Minister reject the opportunity to tax gas giants to fund services like housing, public health and aged care and instead raise funds by cutting 160,000 families off the NDIS?
