House of RepresentativesMonday 22 June 2026

QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Mr SMALL (Forrest—Opposition Whip) (14:55): My question is to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has said, time and time again, that he has changed his position on his toxic taxes, yet those taxes on savings, investments, housing and businesses continue to rise. Will the Prime Minister just cut to the chase and, like Julia Gillard before him, admit he's another Labor liar on taxes?

Honourable members interjecting— The SPEAKER: Order! I'll deal with this. The Leader of the House?

Mr Burke: Speaker, you've put every member on notice for a long time on that issue. The SPEAKER: Yes. The Leader of the Opposition has upheld the standards of the House twice today, so I'm going to ask the member for Forrest to do the same, to withdraw.

Mr SMALL: I withdraw. The SPEAKER: And leave the chamber under 94(a). The membe r for Forrest then left the chamber.

The SPEAKER: We're moving to the next question. We're not having that disruption for question time.
