STATEMENTS ON INDULGENCE

Mr TAYLOR (Hume—Leader of the Opposition) (15:13): I associate the coalition with the words of the Prime Minister. Of course we will participate in this important event this evening. I pay tribute to the extraordinary work that's been done by the Australian War Memorial and successive governments.

I should say this did start under a coalition government but has been continued under the current government. It's an important piece of work to pay tribute to our war fighters and those who have served our country over many, many generations, many of whom who have paid the ultimate price. These are extraordinary people, extraordinary Australians, and I look forward to paying tribute to them and the great work that's been done for a long time by the Australian War Memorial.
