Senator ASKEW (Tasmania—Chief Opposition Whip in the Senate) (15:47): At the request of Senator Bragg, I move: That there be laid on the table by the Minister representing the Treasurer, by no later than midday on Tuesday, 30 June 2026, any advice provided by the Department of the Treasury to the Treasurer or the office of the Treasurer, in preparation for the 2026-27 Federal Budget in relation to the impact of the Government's proposed changes to capital gains tax and negative gearing on different industries and cohorts.
