QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Mrs McINTOSH (Lindsay) (14:39): on indulgence—I'd like to associate the coalition with the Prime Minister's words. Sadly, it's our electorate offices that are often the front line of domestic violence—a number of women have sat in tears in my office trying to seek a safe place—and it shouldn't be like that. It doesn't matter how much money we are throwing at this issue, it is not going away.

It is the role of every single member in this place to do more and to listen to those families that are doing it so tough. Although we don't agree on everything, the coalition will stand with the government to try to do our best, in our generation, to end violence against women and children.
