Senator ASKEW (Tasmania—Chief Opposition Whip in the Senate) (17:15): At the request of Senator Cash, I move: That the resolution relating to the hours of meeting and routine of business for 23 to 29 June 2026, agreed to on 23 June 2026, be amended as follows: (1) After paragraph (4), insert: (4A) On Tuesday, 30 June 2026, contingent on a message being received from the House of Representatives regarding the National Disability Insurance Scheme Amendment (Securing the NDIS for Future Generations) Bill 2026: (a) the bill be called on immediately at the commencement of government business; and (b) the questions on all remaining stages of the bill be put at 1.30 pm; (2) Omit paragraph (5), substitute: (5) Paragraphs 3(b) and (c), 4(d) and (4A) operate as limitations of debate under standing order 142.

The PRESIDENT: The question is that general business notice of motion no. 526 standing in the name of Senator Cash and moved by Senator Askew be agreed to.
