DISTINGUISHED VISITORS

The SPEAKER (14:17): I have two acknowledgements to make. I had been planning to recognise local government people, and I have about 350 people to acknowledge today. I will acknowledge two people: Councillor Kim Marx, from the city council of my home town of Brisbane, and Councillor George Demetriou, from the City of West Torrens.

At 92 years of age, he is the oldest serving councillor currently in local government in the Southern Hemisphere. On behalf of all the local mayors and councillors who are here, thank you for your service and welcome to question time.
