Senator ASKEW (Tasmania—Chief Opposition Whip in the Senate) (11:41): At the request of Senator Antic, I move: That there be laid on the table by the Minister representing the Minister for Health and Ageing, by no later than midday on Wednesday, 29 July 2026: (a) all documents evidencing the cause of the increase in Australia's mortality rate during the period January 2020 to December 2025 including documents evidencing: (i) health conditions associated with any increase in excess mortality rate during the period, (ii) excess mortality rate increases not caused by COVID-19 mortality during the period, (iii) excess mortality rate increases temporally associated with lockdowns and border closures during the period, and (iv) excess mortality rate increases temporally associated with COVID-19 vaccination rates during the period; and (b) all documents evidencing the type, timing, location and uptake rates of COVID-19 vaccinations in Australia for the period January 2020 to December 2025.

The PRESIDENT: The question is that general business No. 530 standing in the name of Senator Antic, and moved by Senator Askew, be agreed to.
