Ms MASCARENHAS (Swan) (13:59): The Liberal Party says that it needs a refresh or a rebrand, but this isn't a branding problem. It's a listening problem. They've had their own review after review.
They've changed their position on net zero. They've changed leaders, they've changed presidents, but they keep on ignoring the same lessons. Those opposite opposed quotas to get more Liberal women into parliament.
Look at the crossbench. Now look at who the alternative opposition leader is. They don't reflect modern multicultural Australia.
One of their headline policies during the election was telling women that they could not work from home. If they can't modernise themselves, how can they modernise the country? Meanwhile, the Albanese government is getting on with the job.
