DISTINGUISHED VISITORS
The SPEAKER (14:20): I'm pleased to inform the House that present in the gallery today are winners of the 2026 House of Representatives Yarning competition, which is an exciting opportunity for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander high-school students across Australia to share their unique stories and experiences through creative mediums such as visual art, written words, photography, video or audio.
Today we had the pleasure of meeting this year's winners and congratulating them: Jaide Sutton, the year 7-8 winner, from the electorate of Hinkler; Charlotte Liplyn, the year 9 winner, from the electorate of Cunningham; and Lyla Jenkins, the year 11-12 winner, from New England. Congratulations to you all and welcome to question time. I'm also pleased to inform the House that present in the gallery today is the Hon.
Lance McCallum, state member for Bundamba in the Queensland parliament. Also, we're welcoming an old friend of the parliament, the former member for Leichhardt, the Hon. Warren Entsch, who's joining us today; and the mayors from the Western Downs Regional Council, Councillor Andrew Smith and the deputy mayor, Councillor Kylie Bourne, as guests of the member for Maranoa.
