STATEMENT BY THE SPEAKER
The SPEAKER (15:10): Before members go, I have a short statement to make. One of our longest serving senior parliamentary officers, Dr Glenn Worthington, will be retiring this week. Many of you would know Glenn, who's at the table as Deputy Clerk for his last question time today.
Glenn joined the Department of the House of Representatives in 2002 and spent many of his 24 years here working in the committee office as well as in the Table Office as the deputy Serjeant-at-Arms. Since 2021, Glenn has held the senior role of clerk assistant, most recently overseeing the work of the committee office. As many would be aware, Glenn has also undertaken duty as clerk at the table for many years, providing procedural advice and support to the chair and all members.
As this is Glenn's last week before retirement—and, luckily, his last question time—I know members will join me in acknowledging his many years of dedicated support, guidance and advice to the House, its committees and members. Good luck, Glenn.
