Mr REPACHOLI (Hunter) (13:47): I want to recognise an extraordinary young person from the Hunter community: 15-year-old Tilly from Morisset. Today, Tilly is doing something incredibly brave and generous. She's shaving off all of her hair to support people affected by cancer.

Her hair will be donated to sustainable salons, where it can be used to help create medical wigs for people experiencing hair loss as a result of cancer treatment and other medical conditions. But Tilly's generosity doesn't stop there. She's also raising money for Cancer Council NSW and has already raised more than $3,300.

That's an outstanding achievement for a young person who simply wanted to make a real difference. At just 15 years of age, Tilly is showing all of us what community spirit, compassion and leadership look like. I know the people of Morisset, along with her school community at Morisset High School, will be incredibly proud of her.

I encourage everybody to get behind Tilly, if they can. If you're able to donate, please do so. If you're not, that's okay, but what you can do is share her story and help spread the word.

That can really make a difference too. Tilly, your courage and kindness is an absolute inspiration to not only the people of the Hunter but people all over this beautiful country of Australia. On behalf of our community, congratulations on what you're doing today.
