Senator GREEN (Queensland—Assistant Minister for Tourism, Assistant Minister for Pacific Island Affairs and Assistant Minister for Northern Australia) (10:33): Senator, I've indicated to you what the government's position is in relation to the conflict of interest. I won't in any way, shape or form go into conversations between ministers and the heads of agencies.

But, to be clear, the government does not accept that there is any actual or perceived conflict of interest that relates to the current Director of Public Prosecutions.
