QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Mr McCORMACK (Riverina) (14:14): My question is to the Minister for Veterans' Affairs and Minister for Defence Personnel. The Australian Defence Veterans' Covenant Oath says: We undertake to preserve the memory and deeds of all who have served and promise to welcome, embrace and support all military veterans as respected and valued members of our community. This week, veterans and their advocates say the minister meant to represent them has, in their words, 'treated them with contempt'.

Is the minister confident veterans would agree he is upholding the covenant oath?
