QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator HUME (Victoria—Deputy Leader of the Opposition) (14:44): The Minister for Housing told Australian renters not to listen to politicians. I don't think that's going to be a problem. I'm pretty sure Australians stopped believing the housing minister and the Prime Minister some time ago.

Under Labor, median capital city rents have risen from $470 to $690 a week. Was Minister O'Neil really warning renters not to believe her own government's claims that these tax changes will cost them just $2 a week?
