QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Mr TIM WILSON (Goldstein) (14:10): My question is to the Treasurer. Since 2022— Mr Burnell interjecting— The SPEAKER: Order! No.

The member will pause and take his seat, and he'll begin his question again. I have warned the member for Spence. It doesn't matter where you sit in this chamber.

If you're under a warning—and I'm glad he's got the message—he's leaving the chamber under 94(a). It is simply unacceptable, if people are on warnings and then minutes later they interject. The member for Spence then left the chamb er.

The SPEAKER: Out of respect for the member for Goldstein, we'll begin his question again, so he can be heard in silence. Mr TIM WILSON: My question is to the Treasurer. Since 2022 Labor has spent more than $400 billion in higher revenue from inflation and resource profits that could be paying down debt.

Every minute, Australians pay more than $52,000 in interest on Labor's trillion-dollar debt. Only the coalition has a plan to fix the economy and protect our way of life. Why won't the government support the future generations fund, where 80c in every dollar of windfall resource revenue would pay down the debt and build our future?

Government members interjecting— The SPEAKER: Order! Before I call the Treasurer, members on my right will cease interjecting. Ms Rishworth interjecting— The SPEAKER: The minister for employment!

The minister for employment is going very close to not remaining here for question time if she continues with that sort of interjection. I remind all members who may have their documents with them: do not use them as props, out of respect for the chamber.
