Mr GOSLING (Solomon) (13:34): For almost nine years under the coalition, women's health simply wasn't a priority. Federal Labor is changing that. In my electorate, I secured funding for the Endometriosis and Pelvic Pain Clinic at Northside Health NT in Coconut Grove, and it's now expanded to support women through perimenopause and menopause—specialised care, closer to home.

We've made endo and menopause medicines cheaper and put new contraceptive and menopause treatments on the PBS, and I've secured $10 million to improve maternity facilities at Royal Darwin Hospital. But that does not replace the private maternity service that Darwin lost. The CLP NT government knew for many months that the service was under pressure, and that was before Healthscope publicly announced the closure of the service in February last year.

The doors shut in June and, 15 months after the doors closed, there's still no private maternity service. Yet the CLP has found plenty of time and money for other increasingly questionable priorities. They knew; they had time, and they chose to spend their time and money elsewhere—and that tells Territory women everything they need to know about the CLP NT government's priorities.

Fortunately, federal Labor takes women's health incredibly seriously, and we are investing in it.
