The SPEAKER (14:26): I'm pleased to inform the House that present in the gallery today is a delegation from the mighty Queensland Tourism Industry Council, as well as the winners of the 2026 My First Speech competition, Roger and Jess, and their families. Also in the gallery today is Mr Ninos Khoshaba, the former member for Smithfield in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly, as a guest of the Minister for Climate Change and Energy.
I'm also pleased to inform the House that present in the gallery today are leaders and founders from Australia's biotechnology, medical technology and health technology sectors, as AusBiotech marks its 40th anniversary today. Included in the delegation is Professor Andrew Wilks, recipient of the 2024 Prime Minister's Prize for Innovation; AusBiotech's lifetime member Dr Peter Riddles, who has made significant contributions to the sector; and Mr John Morri, whose nerve repair device is not only supporting Australian patients but also helping Australia's humanitarian effort in treating battlefield trauma in Ukraine.
