GOVERNOR-GENERAL'S SPEECH

The SPEAKER (15:14): I inform the House that on 17 August 2026, accompanied by the honourable members, I waited upon Her Excellency, the Governor-General, at Government House and presented to her the address in reply to Her Excellency's speech on the opening of the first session of the 48th parliament, agreed to by the House on 12 August 2026. Her Excellency was pleased to make the following reply: Mr Speaker: Thank you for your Address in Reply.

It will be my pleasure and my duty to convey to His Majesty The King the message of loyalty from the House of Representatives, to which the Address gives expression.
