STATEMENTS BY MEMBERS

Mr GOSLING (Solomon) (16:26): This September, restaurants, cafes and bars will come together to celebrate seafood caught and grown across the Northern Territory. We are celebrating NT Caught Seafood Festival. Territorians will be able to explore the NT Seafood Trail and discover the best seafood that the NT has to offer through special menus, limited edition dishes, producer dinners and live events hosted throughout the month.

Northern Territory seafood begins with the people behind it—those who work the water, tend the farms, run the processing facilities and keep the supply chain moving. NT Seafood Month celebrates their stories—the fishing families, the aquaculture businesses, the Indigenous enterprises, the seafood suppliers and everyone who makes the industry both possible and so valued in our community.

Discover where your seafood comes from, how it's harvested, how it's grown and what makes each Territory species so distinctive. Next Saturday, September 19 at the Darwin Waterfront, you'll be able to celebrate the people, the produce and the stories behind Northern Territory seafood. The program will include Humpty Doo Barramundi, Australia Bay snapper cooking demonstrations, mud crab tying and so much more.

So get amongst it—NT seafood.
