QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Senator McKENZIE (Victoria—Leader of the Nationals in the Senate) (14:55): My question is to the Minister representing the Prime Minister, Senator Wong. The Prime Minister told the Queensland Labor conference that his goal 'is to make our economy work for people, not the other way round'. After three interest rate increases this year and further rate rises likely, a record 1.79 million Australians are now at risk of mortgage stress, and their house prices are collapsing.

Who exactly is Labor's economy working for?
