Mr LAXALE (Bennelong) (13:40): Deep within the streets of Bennelong, best mates Martin Mulholland and Blair Joscelyne began modifying cars and making do-it-yourself videos in 2008. Today they have four million subscribers and their first YouTube release has now been viewed over 3.4 million times. They are known as Mighty Car Mods.

Now, these two local lads have made it into the Australian National Film and Sound Archive. The archive will preserve Mighty Car Mods' films for the next 100 years in their latest collection, which showcases 10 Australian digital creator channels. What I love about these two guys is that they have turned their passions for cars and production into their jobs, and ones which bring families together across the world.

Their annual feature film production, released on Christmas Day every year, has become as much a Christmas tradition for many as watching Die Hard or Elf is. Yes, Die Hard is a Christmas movie. Marty and Moog have produced around 15 feature-length films, beginning with Turbos and Temples in 2011.

Importantly, much of the films' music is being performed by local artists. For example, the viral hit 'Drag Me Into the Light' is being performed by local artist November and is also featured in the NFSA capsules. Congratulations to Marty and Moog!
