Mr WALLACE (Fisher) (13:48): Labor's toxic taxes punish Australians who work hard, save hard, take a risk and just try to get ahead. In my electorate of Fisher, Dale and Tanya built an export business from their garage. They now employ Australians, selling to the world.

They are an award-winning Australian success story, but, since the May budget. they've told me that they are considering relocating their business and their lives to Singapore. Just think about that for a moment—a successful business built on the Sunny Coast from their garage producing Australian products and employing Australian locals, and this government is almost putting a gun to their head to force them to move overseas.

Australia needs to be a country where businesses invest and where they grow and employ Australians, not one where they are driven overseas, because, when businesses struggle, Australians struggle. A strong economy depends on people having confidence to invest, employ and take a chance on Australia. When businesses stop growing, Australia stops growing.

A coalition government will axe these toxic taxes and back Australians. We will make the $50,000 instant asset write-off permanent under our plan, and we'll introduce a tax-back guarantee. We'll scrap Labor's toxic taxes on small businesses.
