QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE
Senator WONG (South Australia—Minister for Foreign Affairs and Leader of the Government in the Senate) (14:35): I disagree with the hyperbole in the question, but that is the nature of question time. What I would say to you, Senator, is: my recollection is that, in the context of consultation on how the discretionary trust changes would be given effect, there are a number of options, which were included in that draft legislation or the papers associated with it.
One of them, I think, has been reported in a certain way. I would make very clear, first, this is a consultation process and, second, it is not the only way in which people can arrange their discretionary trusts. The PRESIDENT: Senator Blyth, first supplementary?
