STATEMENT BY THE SPEAKER

The SPEAKER (15:11): I inform the members just briefly that tonight, from dusk, Parliament House will be illuminated in yellow and orange for World Suicide Prevention Day. This year's theme is 'Changing the narrative on suicide'. This day aims to raise awareness around the world that suicide can be prevented.

I invite all members who will be here to attend at 6 pm to join me as we light up the building for this important issue, and I thank the Assistant Minister for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention for her leadership in making this happen.
