QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE
Dr SCAMPS (Mackellar) (14:27): My question is to the Prime Minister. This week, the United Kingdom, along with 11 other countries, announced trade restrictions on illegal settlements in the West Bank, with their Foreign Secretary stating, 'The British government agrees there is ethnic cleansing of Palestinians in areas of the West Bank.' He acknowledged that, to date, there has been 'a deeply painful contrast between their professed commitment to the two-state solution and the reality on the ground in Gaza and the West Bank'.
They have welcomed Australia joining the coalition. Why haven't we?
