Mr GEE (Calare) (15:08): My question is to the Prime Minister. This week, I introduced my AI Kill Switch and Data Centre Control Bill into parliament. It would bring in mandatory kill switch and shutdown capabilities to advanced AI.

Why are we rushing into a technology that we don't even know we can control? Why are we putting the very future of humanity into the hands of tech billionaires without proper oversight? Will you back my bill and help protect our communities, our critical infrastructure and defence capabilities, and the future of humankind?
