House of RepresentativesThursday 10 September 2026

QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Mr ALBANESE (Grayndler—Prime Minister) (14:46): The answer to that is no. We had election commitments, which we gave up front. We gave less than one-third of the election commitments of those opposite.

That is just a fact. There were three commitments in my electorate, one for a women's health centre, one for a Saint Vincent de Paul facility, a refuge for women and children escaping domestic violence, and one for the upgrade of the Inner West Council owned Marrickville Golf Club. Included in that was funding to fix the sewerage because it goes into the river and causes a problem when it floods.

Honourable members interjecting— The SPEAKER: Order! The member for O'Connor will cease interjecting. It's just too much noise.

I'll have to say it again: if that continues, there'll be consequences for actions. No matter where you sit in the chamber, the same rules apply to everyone.
