Senator O'NEILL (New South Wales) (14:49): My question is to the Minister representing the Minister for Emergency Management, Senator McAllister. Emergency services across the country are undertaking significant planning, training and readiness activities to ensure communities are prepared for the upcoming higher risk weather season. As part of this work, the National Emergency Management Agency is hosting the annual National Preparedness Summit currently taking place right here in Canberra.

Can the minister please outline how the Albanese Labor government is working with states and territories to prepare for the higher risk weather season?
