Mr JOYCE (New England) (13:33): I want to go through some names of people who are fighting the intermittent power scourge: Sandra Bourke, Anna Young, Andrew Weiderman, Grant Piper, Katy McCallum, Lauren Lawler and Michelle Park—and there are so many more. People against intermittent power unite! We have to stop this scourge—the transmission lines, the solar panels, the wind towers.

Just the other day, Mark Grady came forward and found out that it was incomplete; the state government, following their own legislation, did not abide by section 20A of their own act. How do they appropriate money when they're not in abidance with their own act? I don't know.

One would suggest that that might be fraud. You can't sit by and say you support the capital gains tax benefit that was voted for the other day but you don't support intermittent power. Unfortunately, the coalition sat by and did not support it.

I went to the other place and they were not present for the vote when they should have been voting against it. You can't say you support the Paris Agreement but you don't support the transmission lines. You can't say you support the capacity investment schemes but you don't support the transmission lines.

You can't say you support carbon credits but you don't support the solar panels and the wind towers. You can't say you're trying to help Australia but you support the safeguard mechanism closing down coalmines. If we are going to turn this nation around and stop the oblivion that comes from energy, we have to stop intermittent power.
