QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Mr ALBANESE (Grayndler—Prime Minister) (15:07): I thank the member for Fowler for her question and her acknowledgement in this chamber, which I hope all heard, that it is indeed the war in the Middle East that is having an impact on fuel. It's happening right around the world with global prices. That was ridiculed by those opposite earlier on today.

Tax cuts, of course, came in for 65,000 taxpayers in Fowler on 1 July. Eighty-six practices are now fully bulk-billing—97 per cent of all practices in Fowler. There have been 23,400 visits to the urgent care clinic.

Indeed, all of them have just needed their Medicare card, saving them money, as the 3.8 million scripts have saved them $20 million. In Fowler alone, 1,483 people have been helped to buy their first home with the five per cent deposit scheme, and rent assistance has been given to 18,330 people. Cheaper home batteries have been delivered to more than 3,000 households in Fowler; 5,600 families have benefited from cheaper child care; and 24,000 students have benefited from the cut to student debt.
