Mr CHAFFEY (Parkes) (14:33): My question is to the Minister for Housing. Is the minister aware of a Housing Industry Australia report released today that states that sales of new homes have been slashed by 20 per cent in the past three months and 1,700 construction businesses have gone bust in the three months since the budget? Is the minister aware that this is the highest quarter of construction insolvencies on record?

Where will Australians live if the Albanese Labor government keeps sending builders broke?
