DISTINGUISHED VISITORS

The SPEAKER (14:10): I'm very pleased to inform the House that present in the special visitors gallery today is the Hon. Dr Maina Talia, the Minister for Home Affairs, Climate Change and Environment of the Parliament of Tuvalu. Joining the minister is His Excellency Samuelu Laloniu, the High Commissioner for Tuvalu to Australia, and they are joined by the honourable Senator Rosa Galvez, Canadian senator for Quebec.

I'm pleased to also inform the House that present in the gallery today as a guest of the member for Casey is the Hon. David Hodgett MLA, member for Croydon in the state parliament. As guests of the members for Cooper and Bullwinkel, we have members of the Australian College of Nursing, who are in Canberra for their policy leadership masterclass, and Lakeland Senior High School from South Lake in the electorate of Fremantle, who are in Canberra to compete in the Academy of the Social Sciences Great Student Debate.

I've just met with them, and I've been informed they are arguing the affirmative on the topic of 'Australian politics is alive and well.' It sure is! Also, we have the Fairley Leadership Program as guests of the member for Nicholls. Welcome to question time to you all.
