QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Ms STEGGALL (Warringah) (14:12): To the Minister for Climate Change and Energy, last year, Australia signed the Belem declaration supporting a just and orderly transition away from fossil fuels. Today, Tuvalu's climate change minister Dr Talia and Canadian senator Rosa Galvez are here asking for stronger global action. Yet last week the Prime Minister pledged in Palau to work with our Pacific family on climate action whilst his resources minister celebrated the expansion of fossil fuels with the Beetaloo basin.

How can Australians and the Pacific trust this government's commitment when it continues to support and expand fossil fuels?
