QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE

Dr HAINES (Indi) (14:42): My question is to the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship. Recent changes to visa processing, including the removal of regional priority for skilled visas and a go-slow on working holiday visas, are already having dire consequences for regional Australia. Employers in my electorate are desperately waiting to fill shortages in crucial areas like nursing, fruit picking, meat processing and even bushfire recovery.

Minister, will you urgently update your direction, and will you reverse the go-slow?
