STATEMENTS BY SENATORS

Senator CHISHOLM (Queensland—Assistant Minister for Regional Development, Assistant Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, Assistant Minister for Resources and Deputy Manager of Government Business in the Senate) (13:58): Sadly for me—I've just clocked up 10 years in the Senate—I've never seen a more dispirited and disunited opposition than what we see at the moment.

They are so divided, and they are an absolute mess as a result—constant negativity. There's been no better example of that than what we saw just then in the contribution from Senator Hume. We know they've got rid of one opposition leader and the clock is ticking on the second opposition leader.

We know that they're out to get the member for Hume. The difference and the contrast between our side and their side couldn't be more stark. We are a united team focused on delivering tax cuts for every worker, focused on significant environmental reform, focused on a Future Made in Australia and focused on delivering an NDIA that's sustainable for the future of this country.

So there is a clear contrast for the Australian people: a government that's united, focused on delivering real change for the Australian people, versus the rabble that we opposite, coming in here on a daily basis. They don't know whether to hug One Nation or fight One Nation. But the Australian people are paying attention.

They see an Albanese Labor government that is delivering for Australian workers every day.
