Senator SHOEBRIDGE (New South Wales) (16:00): I move: That there be laid on the table by the Minister representing the Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, by 11 am on Thursday, 17 September 2026, all documents relating to: (a) any departmental or ministerial advice on whether to extend the cruise ship exemption under the Coastal Trading (Revitalising Australian Shipping) Act 2012 (the Act) beyond 31 December 2026; (b) the 2023 review into the Act, including its terms of reference and any draft or final findings; and (c) correspondence since 1 January 2024 between the department or the minister's office and Carnival Australia, Carnival Corporation or the Cruise Lines International Association concerning the exemption.
