CONDOLENCES

Mr ALBANESE (Grayndler—Prime Minister) (14:15): I move: That the resumption of the debate on the Speaker's announcement relating to the death of Mr Bruce Baird be referred to the Federation Chamber. I, along with, I'm sure, a number of other members who served with Bruce Baird, would like to make a contribution. He was truly a great Australian and, whilst not a minister in this place, of course played a very critical role in the Sydney Olympics bid in my home city in 2000.

He is fondly remembered, and I think members should have the opportunity to continue the discussion. Question agreed to.
