Senator WONG (South Australia—Minister for Foreign Affairs and Leader of the Government in the Senate) (14:50): 'Australia first,' but you manufacture overseas, right? No? This is the hypocrisy.

Senator WONG: All your merch is overseas made. In terms of 'Australia first', we are ensuring that more fuel and fertiliser come to this country. That's what we have done.

Export Finance Australia, under the leadership of the board and also Senator Farrell, have done an outstanding job through global disruption to ensure that our economy has had sufficient supplies of petroleum, of diesel and of petroleum related products, including urea. That has enabled our economy to continue functioning during a period when there has been a constraint on supply.

And we have done that without compromising our position in relation to Russia for the reasons I have outlined to you. It is not in our interest to be saying that it is okay for a larger country to invade another. (Time expired)
