QUESTIONS WITHOUT NOTICE
Mr JOYCE (New England) (14:11): My question is to the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry. Minister, fire ants, which are devastating to agriculture, especially the cattle industry, and native fauna, such as koalas, have been discovered at the freight intermodal in the seat of Watson. Minister, the timeline your office has given me does not match the timeline the New South Wales minister has given me in regard to this issue.
Minister, how long have the fire ants been at this site? Where did the fire ants come from, which can be determined by their DNA, and how long will it take to trace where they may have got to?
