PARLIAMENTARY REPRESENTATION
Senator KOVACIC (New South Wales) (18:27): I'm going to share some sentiments from Jacki Martin for you: 'Jonno, thank you for your service, your friendship and everything you have given to Tasmania and our party. The upside to your departure from this place is that the whip's chocolate bowl will now be full, the wine fridge will be plentiful, and we might finally get through a sitting week without splitting our sides laughing at something completely inappropriate.
The downside is that the whip's chocolate bowl will now be full, the wine fridge will be plentiful, and we might finally get through a sitting week without splitting our sides laughing at something completely inappropriate. Your personal support to me has been incredibly valued and appreciated, both inside this building and out, and I wish you, Anisa and your fine young men all the very best as you embark on this new phase and enjoy being together a lot more often.
Tasmania will miss your advocacy, Parliament will miss your experience, and those of us who have worked alongside you will miss your company. Go well, friend.' And from me very briefly, thank you for being an exemplar of what it is to be a senator in this place. I've only been here for a few years, but I have valued your friendship and your guidance.
Thank you.
