Road safety funding — both its withdrawal and its non-delivery — defined the Member for Warrandyte's Assembly contribution in this window. The Member for Warrandyte, Ms Werner, used debate on the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee report into the Department of Transport and Planning capital spend budget to press two specific, unresolved infrastructure concerns within the district [TA-260826-vichns-9f81c0b98fb9:s053].

The first concerns $4.7 million in federal funding to install traffic lights at the Tortice Drive and Ringwood-Warrandyte Road intersection in North Ringwood. She called on the Victorian Government to protect and progress that commitment.

The second concern is the Five Ways intersection in Warrandyte South, where $25 million in combined state and federal funding was secured more than a year ago and construction has still not begun.
