Tribune’s note

Minister King marked the halfway point of the Beams Road upgrade in Fitzgibbon, confirming completion of the Cabbage Tree Creek four-lane widening and major underground drainage works. The project serves around 20,000 vehicles daily and delivers new pedestrian and cycling infrastructure linking to the Cabbage Tree Creek Bikeway. The $50 million Australian Government commitment is matched by Brisbane City Council under its Better Roads for Brisbane program.

The update continues the portfolio's established pattern of staged, jointly funded arterial upgrades on Brisbane's north-side corridors.
