Tribune’s note

Attorney-General Michelle Rowland announced six civil society appointments to Australia's Fourth Open Government Forum, the body that will develop, implement and monitor the Fourth Open Government National Action Plan. The Forum, co-chaired by Dr Mark Zirnsak and Deputy Secretary Sarah Chidgey, holds its first meeting on 19 May 2026. The appointments signal the government's intent to use the Open Government Partnership framework to advance transparency reform and reinforce Australia's multilateral accountability commitments.
