The Member for Barker, Mr Pasin, used his adjournment speech to recognise Ski for Life, a grassroots organisation working to reduce mental health stigma and prevent suicide in regional Australia. The organisation's annual three-day waterskiing event along the Murray River — from Murray Bridge to Renmark — drew 35 teams and approximately 400 skiers this year, raising $463,103 for mental health programs, community projects, and local grants [TA-260331-house-66782c600be9:s097].

Mr Pasin framed Ski for Life not merely as a fundraising body but as a community movement, emphasising its focus on starting honest conversations and strengthening social connection in areas where mental health challenges and stigma are acutely felt.
