Tribune’s note
Assistant Minister McBride announced the completion of Stage 1 of the Tumbi Road intersection upgrade on the Central Coast, a $65.5 million joint federal-state project. The work removed existing concrete medians and the original roundabout, installed a temporary asphalt roundabout, and relocated utilities. Stage 2 — covering earthworks, retaining walls, drainage, pavements, footpaths, and upgraded bus stops — is underway, with full completion targeted by mid-2028.
The project has generated approximately 125 local jobs.
