Assistant Minister Emma McBride announced the completion of Stage 1 of the Tumbi Road intersection upgrade on the Central Coast, marking a tangible construction milestone on a project jointly funded at $65.5 million by the federal and NSW Labor governments. Stage 2 earthworks, drainage and active-travel works are next, with the full upgrade on track for mid-2028 delivery.
The release frames the project as a regional congestion, safety and jobs story, with approximately 125 local positions created since construction began in June 2025.
