Portfolio — 9 May 2026

Tribune’s note

Minister Wells marked the halfway point of the Beams Road upgrade in Fitzgibbon, a jointly funded project between the Australian Government ($50 million) and Brisbane City Council. The most technically significant completed work is the four-lane widening of the Cabbage Tree Creek crossing, achieved using a 500-tonne crane to install precast culverts. New shared paths and a pedestrian underpass connect the site directly to the Cabbage Tree Creek Bikeway, reflecting the portfolio's concurrent push on active-transport integration alongside road capacity.

Today's comms release is the only stream present; no parliamentary activity was recorded for this date.
