The day's most substantial policy signals were a $226 million safety package creating a national Early Education and Care Commission and an Early Childhood Worker Register, and the launch of targeted consultation on the Universities Accord Bill, which would add 200,000 university places under new Managed Growth and Needs-Based Funding mechanisms.
